Jeff McNown

Jeff McNown is an Associate Attorney at Stiff, Garcia & Associates, LLC. His practice is devoted to insurance defense litigation in New Mexico state courts. He represents insureds and their insurance carriers across a broad range of matters and handles cases throughout all stages of litigation, applying practical strategies to achieve efficient and favorable resolution for his clients.

Since joining the firm, Mr. McNown has resolved multiple matters through settlement and regularly advocates on behalf of insured clients in contested liability and damages disputes.

Mr. McNown received his Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law. While in law school, he placed first in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition and earned top grades in courses emphasizing negotiation, constitutional law, and advanced legal analysis. He was also a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for his academic excellence.

During law school, Mr. McNown participated in the Willamette Trusts and Estates Clinic, architecting clients’ estate work. Prior to law school, he was a small business owner, overseeing a substantial operating budget and supervising staff, experience that informs his disciplined and practical approach to legal representation.

Mr. McNown is licensed to practice law in the State of New Mexico.
